The ledgend of marilee (mary-lee)
Little Marilee laid on her bed
crying and shaking her head.
She was told she would be wed,
To a man she never loved
But what was she to do?
Her father had arranged this since she was two!
To the noblest man in the land!
She was to give he hand!
to the Prince of England.
But her heart belonged in Jeremy's hands,
for she truly loved this man.
But if Marilee did not wed,
it would be off with her head!
And she liked her head ever so much.
What was a girl to do?
He (The Prince) had dreamed of marrying her since he was two!
Marilee did not sit and wonder long.
She has a Modus Operandi!
For she knew her rights and
she knew the laws!
So at midnight she and Jeremy,
fled England.
and Jeremy took her hand
and became her man!
When the Prince heard
of this, he was mad!
He looked for Marilee far and wide.
He went to the ends,
of the earth to find her.
He searched his whole life and never
found her
He was known as the heart,
broken king.
To this day they say at midnight,
ever friday night you can hear
him call,"Marilee, come home to me
my marilee"
The
End
