Movie night

Had a nice relaxing day today, I got to sleep til nine then mom and I went shopping. Amanda came over and watched the phantom of the opera with mom and I then dad and levi came home from work and watched Despicable me 2 with us.

May I say that movie was just as funny and well put together as the first movie. Plus how cute are those minions?
A bit sleepy now so I think I'm going to call it a night.

3 days til Christmas!

 Just three days until Christmas. This year as you celebrate Christmas think upon the true meaning. God sent us the greatest gift of all over 2000 years ago He sent us His Son. He gave us Salvation.
It's easy to get wrapped up in the holiday rush that we forget that Jesus is the reason for the season.
This season don't forget the reason.

Saturday

Saturday was indeed one of those days that just did not go as planned, poor Gollum broke a toenail Friday afternoon and broke it quite well. So they had to cut it way back like back to the padding on the paw. That had to get him doped up on pain killer to do so. Gollum come out from the back room completely out of it. You'd say something to him and he'd just stare at you. ( usually Gollum whines back at you or tilts his head.)  It was a very peacefull ride home Jake as his custom just laid in mom's lap in the front seat and Gollum laid on an old blanket in the back seat.

A bit of good news though Jakes thyroid pills are finally regulated! Plus thankfully we had an appointment already before Gollum broke his nail and we didn't have to call and see if they'd squeeze us in.

Today Gollum is doing much better not quite in as much pain as he was Saturday evening by Sunday night he didn't need anything to relieve his pain.

Well I'm going to get off here and do some painting.

Today was a relaxing day I worked over night so I slept through most of it and then had me some lunch and got a shower. Started a painting and a new page in the visual journal. Now I'm going to feed the dogs because they are hungry and it is feeding time.

Foggy and cold

The fog is hanging thick in the air today, and a chill has filled the air. I do believe today is a good day to stay in. I've got to do a few chores around the house but then I am done. Don't tell Gollum but he is getting a bath. Jake might be idk yet his hair is so thick it take so long for it to dry and with it being cold out...I don't know.

Jake is peacefully napping in moms room right now. Gollum is going back and forth from chewing his bone to licking his paws and mom is reading on her kindle.

Dear...

I always manage to eat too muck on thanksgiving. This year we went to my brother and sis(in law)'s
House.  Everything thing was delicious, so of course I had to sample a little of everything.
I'm so thankful for my family, and a chance to spend thanksgiving with them.

Now I am enjoying a cup of coffee sitting with a attention deprived Gollum, they don't like being off schedule.

A nice ending to a good day.

It's here

My package that I ordered off of Amazon came today, new toys for Gollum and some art supplies for me... Unfortunately I did not see the part where it said there was a squeaker in one of the toys all it said was kong squeeze ball, and the squeaker is very loud :/ OOPS. On the brighter side he is having a blast with the new toy of his, he has one more that came in but I'm waiting until he tears a toy up.
Toys never last long around here.

Setting here eating a homemade turkey pot pie trying not to fall asleep...had a rough night last night and didn't get much sleep then had to get up early this morning. ( well early for me) no nap today because an even earlier morning is in store for me tomorrow. :p (like even for a morning person it's early.)

Vacation week

Bumpy start to the week...I was in a car accident (someone in a SUV ran a red light My little honda fit wasn't much of a match for the SUV) long story short mom and I were sore the first couple days after the crash, the car is totaled but we were very fortunate God was really looking out for us no one ended up in the hospital.  So my vacation started early.

Jake hid my camera from me.

I'm not positive but I am pretty sure Jake Has buried my camera in the back yard. So until Gollum helps me find it I will be posting a a few comics that I drew. Hopefully Gollum will find it soon (His short nose puts him at a disadvantage but he never lets that stop him.)

It was a gloomy Tuesday afternoon Jake was right in the middle of his nap. when he got the call.

                                        "Why does the phone ring every time I'm trying to sleep?" Jake thought,
However answering the call to justice Jake cut his nap short and answered the Phone.
                                     

"Hello."

"Jake They have stolen The Priceless Jewel!"

"Who did?"

"I don't know that's why I called you!"

"Oh Right, I'll come over first thing after my nap."

......................................

Jake got there as soon as his nap was over to find that the priceless Jewel was indeed missing.

But who could have stolen it? Jake Monk is on the case!

He didn't realize it involved water.

Don't let Jake cut your hair

Jake didn't do any Job hunting yesterday due to being so scared of the storms that rolled through last afternoon. However today he is back at it. He discovered mom's scissors in the medicine cabinet and put a sign in the front yard.

 Well Levi was in need of a hair cut and didn't have much money to spare so he agreed to let Jake cut his hair.

Amanda did not approve of her husband's new hair cut. so the search for a job for Jake continues.

Knit Or Knot?

Jake found my knitting bag today and thought that he could make scarfs and sell them on Etsy. He thought it would be an easy task however something and I'm still not quite sure when awry.

I tried to get him to try again but he was quite fed up with the whole thing and said that he was never going to try knitting again. 

Jake a Psychiatrist?

Jake decided that since he was a really good listener and gives great advise that he should be a psychiatrist.

"When they told you no more snacks how did that make you feel?"

"Hungry DUUUHHH!"

Needless to say the session didn't go very well and I doubt that Gollum will be going back to him. Although Jake still maintains that he is very close to a "Break through" with Gollum.

Jake Loves Sundays!

Jake spent his Sunday afternoon reading (He was really glad that mom let him borrow her kindle). Jake loves to read he prefers kindle books because the kindle isn't too heavy for him to hold.

Jake The Blackjack Dealer?

Jake decided he would be a Blackjack Dealer. but got fired because the first time someone said hit me he gave them a black eye. Perhaps he should have learned the lingo first.

Building/Wood working

I really shouldn't let Jake watch PBS with dad, because after watching Rough Cut and This Old House Jake decided that the building/wood working trade didn't look that hard.

First the Hammer proved to be too heavy then the measuring went wrong although Jake maintains the board shrunk and that he measured correctly. Needless to say building/woodworking was an epic fail.

Jake didn't do anything today!

Jake declared a lazy day today because I couldn't take him job hunting this morning do to the fact I had to work and when I got home I was tired so he took a nap instead.

Then we had dinner at levi and Amanda's house needless to say Jake is going to have to work really hard tomorrow to make up for missing a day (Thursday, I know technically its Friday but Thursday hasn't ended for me yet so yeah.)

So Jake discovered my notebook today.

Jake saw that I liked to write so he decided to try becoming a writter (I didn't tell him that writers don't make that much.)

Sadly no one (including Jake) could read his hand writing the only thing he wrote that was legible was the 

one sentence.."I LOVE BACON, but I can't have it."

Gollum suggested to Jake that instead of being a model why not try the other side of the camera and take pictures? So Gollum let Jake borrow his camera for the afternoon.

Once Jake figured out how to use it he got pretty good at it.

But then Gollum saw how good Jake was he started to get jealous of Jake.

Sadly Gollum took away the camera from Jake.

Maybe tomorrow will be better. I told him that once he gets a job he could start to save up for his own camera. (Gollum got his with the birthday money he had been saving. Jake spent his birthday money on snacks I think he is regretting it now.)

Life is Ruff Sometimes

Gollum playing around with the camera last night gave Jake a brilliant idea. Jake figured that with his dashing good looks and his nice thick fur that he could be a model seeing how he lost some weight last year he figures he would be a shoe in.

^^I mean just look at that face. ^^

So I took him down to the Modeling Agency today and we were in luck because they had a sign that said, "Furry Male Models Wanted."   

 Jake soon got his hopes dashed when he was told that while he was very handsome he was just too short to be a model. So needless to say that Jake is pretty bummed right now. 

Jake is taking a break

Jake is taking a break from job hunting today seeing how today is Sunday, he is taking a nap on the couch.

 While Gollum is playing around with the camera here lately Gollum has been taking an interest in photography.

Gollum says even though he doesn't have thumbs he won't let his handicap stop him, though it would be helpful it he had thumbs.

I tried to get him to take pictures of other things but well he is set on just taking photos of himself.

Jake has had a slight set back

Jake is having a bad day to day, Gollum ate Jake's resume. It was the only copy that Jake had!

Although Gollum maintains that he had been framed that Jake soaked it in chick broth!

So Jake is working on a new resume tonight, and I agreed to help him find a place to put his resume where Gollum can't reach.
