Rainy days

My alarm clock blared the announcement of a new day, but the pitter  patter of the rain seemed to call me to stay in my bed a little longer. I reset the alarm for a later time and listen to the rain drops hit the window pane. Even in the gloomy weather the beauty of God's creation still abounds, there's nothing quite like the sound of the soothing rain. Before I knew it the the alarm was going off again but this time I had to get up. I fed the dogs that where not very awake either having felt the effects of a gloomy day. They ate their food quickly and went outside, then Gollum settled under a throw blanket with me for a while. Jake was in the Kennel because those two can't get along. Jake was upset for a while until mom came and sat at her desk which is beside his kennel.

So here I sit sipping my coffee and taking in the gloomy day. While Gollum is gleefully chewing his nylon bone. Which brings me to the question of the day. Why do dogs like chewing on plastic chew toys that have no flavor or smell infused in them?

Life

I finally got a picture of Gollum painted but now I'm working on Jake's portrait which is proving more difficult than Gollum's.
We lost grandpa Densford Saturday morning. I was blessed to have him apart of my life for twenty three years most kids don't get that long with their grandparents let alone great grandpa.
He is in a much happier place now!
