New day new blog

I am so glad to have the day off, mom made fried chicken after we cleaned and got some clothes on the line. Now I am relaxing  avoiding dishes. I'll eventually wants in there and get them done.

There are those days

This is how I feel today. Lol lazy! I don't want to do anything...but I've got to go to work tonight. After today though I get tomorrow off! Yeaaaaaaaaaaa!

surrender

 "In this manner, therefore, pray:

How many times do we pray for our will instead of His will? How many times do we think God should answer our prayer the was we want Him to? And if His answer to our prayer is no we think He didn't answer, but He did answer No is an answer to pray too...so is wait. In our world of modern   conveniences where we can instantly download a song or a book we want or go get what we want within a few minutes or so we forget that our answer to prayer comes at God's timing, not ours. We Need to Pray that His will be done not our will.

I've been thinking a lot lately how God doesnt just want a piece of our lives but He wants all our life.
When Jesus called the diciples they put aside everything ...Luke 5:11 "So when they had brought their boats to land  and, they forsook all and followed Him."
They forsook all and followed God. Have you forsook all to follow after God? I know there are times in my life that I haven't forsook all to follow Him. Daily we have to remind ourselves that we are to surrender to God.

Here is what the webster's dictionary says surrender means :

: to agree to stop fighting, hiding, resisting, etc., because you know that you will not win or succeed

: to give the control or use of (something) to someone else

: to allow something (such as a habit or desire) to influence or control you

Our we willing to give God control of our lives? It can be hard and it can be scary sometimes because there will be times that we will be asked to take a leap of faith and step out of our comfort zone. But it will be well worth it. The question is are you willing to let God take control of your life? Will you lay down your plans, your dreams, your fears, your worries, EVERYTHING and follow God?

We had such a beautiful day!

It was a gorgeous day out there today! I got to spend a little bit of time outside but not as much as I would've liked to, still I got a chance to enjoy some of it.

Days off are never long enough

Well it's about time for me to go back to the grind stone. Oh how days off go so fast! (Especially when you take a long, but much needed nap.) I did get some writing done, hopefully I can be displined about writting and actually finish the book that I have started to work on. But if not I am really just writting it for the simple joy of writting.

Well I'm gonna get off here everybody have a wonderful Monday! Remember Mondays maybe rough, but if you go into it with a good attitude your chances of having a good Monday are better.

Coffee and Chocolate

I can't think of a better duo than Coffee and Chocolate. It's a nice (but unhealthy way) to start the day. (I'd like to add I waited until at lest 10:30 or so.)

Yesterday I did a lot of painting and drawing I'm working o two different projects at once and right now I really just want to get the projects finished cause well I have ideas for other projects now swirling around in my head.  Right now the painting of Abraham Lincoln looks more like Brian Williams with a bead. Then I'm working on a ink drawing that's going pretty good.

Then we went out for Chinese food, I then bought a humming bird feeder and then we went to k mart and browsed.

Well I better get going I've got Coffee to drink!
