"Mental" health day

Mom and I are having a mental health day...aka a lazy day. We got all the chores done yesterday so we could take the day off and just relax a bit. I am going to craft a little bit I think mom is going to be writing/typing on the computer. Right now I am blogging and working on my creative journal.

Last night I practiced bass guitar after a trip to wal mart. I'm slowly starting to get better at playing the bass but I have a lot to learn yet.

Well I am going to get back to my creative journaling.

Long week

After a ten day work stretch I am glad to have the next two days off! Which with the way my schedule is  that is a rare event for me. Woot! Planning to spend the next two days painting and crafting. :D

What ways do u like to be creative? I paint, write, play music, and occasionally knit.
Well I am going to wrap things up, I'll post a longer blog later maybe with pics of my latest craft project.

Dear Matt Walsh

A wise man once said you never truly know a man until you walk a mile in his shoes. We don't know the battles each person faces each day, or what a person has been through. Robin Williams was a prime example of that, on the outside he looked to have everything, but he struggled daily with depression a disease that millions of people struggle with each and everyday.

To say a chemical in balance is a spiritual is wrong. There are a lot of Christians that struggle with a chemical in balance. So are you honestly going to look a fellow brother and sister in Christ and tell them that they are battling depression because they aren't spiritual enough? Talk about kicking a person when they are down. You are  basically  telling them to just suck it up and move on. The LAST thing we need to do is tell people that they are "bad" Christians if they struggle with depression. Telling people it is all spiritual could prevent people from getting the help they need for fear of not being a good enough Christian.

A chemical in balance is not a spiritual issue it is a disease that millions fight with everyday.
Unless you have struggled with Depression you have NO idea what kind of a battle that is to fight.
