Gollum is laying around this morning after he ate some cereal of course! If we have coffee he thinks he has to have cereal...I'm not sure who spoiled him so. :)

Its been way to long since I've posted. Working more hours than I usually do this week and getting swept up into the hustle and bustle of this time of year makes it harder for me to post regularly.

Its then to top it all off I have several different hobbies I like to do. I really should focus on just a few, but I love to do different crafts, and to learn something new is always fun.

So The secret projects are going well. Finished one yesterday and almost done with a couple of others today!

I don't have a lot of time to write this because my battery is going dead.

I had a good birthday, the other day got the day off so that was a nice surprise! Met dad for lunch at wendy's and then saturday grandma and uncle rick are coming over.

I made pie yesterday 2 sugar creams one for us and one for the bank that levi works at.

Ah Eating leftovers on friday after thanksgiving is there anything better?

Everything is better the day after the flavors sink in a little bit more....its like having thanksgiving all over again!

I Had a good day today. Lazy morning and a some what lazy afternoon, then it was off to work. Truck was pretty much done by the time I got there today! So no heavy lifting, Mom cleaned house without me tonight, so I didn't do too much today. This week working more hours that usual but so far so good.

Smiles and giggles

Wow I really didn't know how easily amused I could be until today when Levi, Amanda and Myself, got a few packs of bubble gum and spent a good half hour blowing bubbles and laughing at each other. LOL

Okay so today kinda went unplanned, I was going to work on my secret projects but as life would have it other more pressing things had to be done.

Dog food needed to be made and dishes needed to be done (I finally got that done took awhile, I made a bigger batch of rice than I had planned on. ) I still have to pick up the yard and clean the doggie bowls. AGGGHHHHH How did I get this far behind????

Diving into Chocolate

So Long day at work...not a bad day really just long. I think it seemed long because my lower back was hurting through most of it and that just made the day seem longer than it was.

REALLY!

So I went to work today, after a four day weekend it was a little hard to go back.

My ankle is still hurting me after almost a month so I got a ankle support today we will see if that helps any. I hope so I am still not completely sure what I did to my ankle. At any rate its back to work tomorrow so I am going to go get my rest.

A Sunny day

Its a sunny day today and Levi is playing at a wedding this afternoon. After that we are going to rake leaves YEAH FOR FALL!

On a very different note mom bought us the 2011 writers guide and we are going to try and submit a few articals/poems. Writing is something that both mom and I have been wanting to do for awhile. (mom has wanted to be a writer since high school and has already been publish a couple times, she is a really good writer.) Anyways I;m going to go now.

Just A Note

Just a quick note to explain that I haven't had very long posts because we are in the middle of a house project, both boys are home so that means twice the laundry, dishes and cleaning.

Levi's girlfriend came over yesterday for lunch, then we sat around and talked while we played with legos Yes legos one is never too old for legos those toys are classic. Then levi and dad had to go back to work on the house and so mom, amanda and I chit chatted a whlie.

Today is a day to Scream

Ever had one of those days were you just want to scream at the top of your lungs in frustration?

If you live on planet earth you probably have. So here is some tips on dealing with frustrations

1. Pray letting your frustrations go and putting it in God's hands is the best way of dealing with your problems.

2. find an outlet where you can express yourself weather it be through writing, knitting, wood working, metal working, drawing or painting you don't have to be good at your outlet the point is just to let off some steam.

3. Breathe sometimes you just need to take a step back and relax.

4. Realize that sometimes we don't know where life is going to take us, but as long as we put God first in our lives He will see us through.

So I have a fair amount to get done today. With that said its not going to be a very long blog post.

We finally saw the sun today! YEAh! So now I have to catch up on a few things outside. they are delivering the lumber for the sunroom today so that put a delay in the day. Plus mom and I still have to go to the store.

SWEET

I was just checking my stats on my blog to see how many people had read my blog so far, when I found out that I got several views from the Netherlands! how cool is that?

Anywho my day at work today was over all pretty good. I like my job I really do but usually by the time I get home at night I'm ready to crash. Not that it's a bad thing and not that my job is terribly hard work (there are a lot more physically demanding jobs out there.), but by the end of the night I am ready to go home. LOL I still dream of owning a bakery/coffee shop and yes I realize owning a business is more work than what I am doing right now, but I think its different when is yours and you have put your own sweat and tears in to building the business.

I better get going I have a couple dogs that are smelly and in need of a bath. Mr. Jake is first he is going to get his bath tonight and Mr. Gollum will be getting his bath in the morning. (Gollum is in his kennel sound asleep right now so I'm going to wait because I need to clean the kennel in the morning to which means washing the doggie bed and blanket that's in the kennel.)

Gadgets and Life

Seems these days everyday life takes gadgets, most people use their smart phones to help run their business and to help them keep track of appointments. But at what point do all these gadgets become a hindrance and at what point is it helpful? For me it's not to hard all I have one computer my phone isn't a smart phone, and I have a job that doesn't really deal with computers I don't have to use my Ipad to keep track of stats or accounts. But even with one computer I feel like I'm letting my gadgets take away my time. So how do you stay focused so that you don't live your life vicariously through your gadgets? For example I was at a concert and there was a lady that pretty much watched the whole concert through her ipad because she was so focused on taking pics and video.

Well Not a whole lot planned for today just working, I have to go in an hour earlier than usual because we have truck today. Anywho I'd better go now.

Apple pies and Apple Dumplings

I made apple pie and apple dumplings this week. I love to bake! I would be content owning my own bakery/coffee shop! We need a good bakery in Cambridge one that is open late. For those late night coffee drinkers. But funny thing about running and owning a business you kinda need capital. So My plan is to work hard and save up so I can open one up.

Anywho Levi, Amanda (Levi's girlfriend) and Myself went bowling yesterday on the first game I bowled a 23 and the second game I bowled a 63 Don't laugh! 63 is good for me!

I may have lost but I had fun!

Wow so I should never blog tired I just said on my last blog post " I pooped I'm going to take a shower" lol it's amazing how much of a difference M' makes lol!

So Day off today Mom and I are going grocery shopping and I have to clean my room and make dog food. Jake is loving the homemade dog food he was starting to get gray around the nose and I'm telling you his color is coming back, he is shedding less, and his eyes arnt as cloudy as they were before. He has tons more energy too...the other night I was playing with him and he started to run around the front room like a mad man! LOL Those of you who know Jake Know that its usually pretty rare for Jake to run and play.

I was reading in the paper and this lady who writes a weekly column is retiring she is 90 and she has been writing columns for 65 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!! she has written 2038 columns isn't that unreal!

SHOPPING!!!!!!

I went to target today and walmart! Got some clothes and a new video game for my DS and mom bought me a movie The Spy Next Door (it has Jackie Chan, Billy Ray Cyrus and George Lopez) I am going to watch it tomorrow! I watched Sargent Pepper and the lonely hearts Club band LOL Cant believe all the people that agreed to be in it! Even hank williams Jr was in te choir at the end lol

IPhones and Ipads

Okay so I never really got the craze for iphones they drop calls all the time there are way more features on it than any human being could really use and a mountain of stupid apps to go with it.

but the Ipads on the other hand are AWESOME I don't have one I want one though. Wish I could justify spending that much money on a gadget like that. But I just cant justify it yes I would use it, but 700 dollars for an ipad that might work for year before it's out of date. 130 for an off brand of it but still even at that much I can't justify it. Maybe someday I will buy one but not this week.

I've been scanning the yahoo news stories one article listed four groups of food that are going up in price.

1. cereals, bread, and pasta products

2. Sweets (No Don't raise the price on my beloved M&M's again!)

3. Beef, Pork, and Chicken

4. Cat and Dog food (Which the article didn't mention the fact that the quality of your dog and cat food might go down yet again! This is just my personal opinion but since the Recession hit it seems that the dog food hasn't been as good lately, like they are putting more filler in it or something. I don't know if it has been proven or not but I say this from personal experience having tried several dog food brands and none seem as good as they used to be.)

Anyways the four rising prices isn't that everything in general? except maybe veggies?

Worn out!

How can a person get so worn out from just 8 hours of work? I mean there are a lot more physically demanding jobs than mine! But Somehow I am just worn out! lol maybe its because of this cold or just the fact that I've had so many days off or maybe the weekend caught up with me. All I know is my knees are screaming at me lol!

I had a fun time last night with Levi, we went out to eat then checked out the new best buy in Richmond...Before Best Buy was an hour away from us (Much to Levi's dismay) But now it is only a 20min drive away! (Much to Levi's Delight!) Then it was off to walgreens to get a note book so we could brain storm about what direction to take Monk Music...So after walgreens we went to star bucks to drink a frap and talk about our hopes and dreams for the ministry.

Today well, I am doing nothing really had a rough night last night with this darn cold so I am just taking it easy today. I feel bad leaving mom with the bulk of the work though. :( The only thing I did was fold a very small load of blues.

I was doing some research on how much tickets to see Celine Dion live in Las Vegas would be, try like 300 almost 400 for the cheap seats and like 1,100 dollars for front row seats. Not that I was going this year or even next year anyways. Love her music don't get me wrong however I don't see it happening in the near furture.

I Did Get to Catch Pierce Morgan's Interview of Josh Groban on CNN the Other night it was a good interview. It wasn't the usual how did you get your start questions that all of the Grobanites are tired of hearing about.

what a new post?

Yep a new post you probably dont care but we got cable and cable internet back. I've missed having tv.

Still working less hours at work so I am enjoying my short break.

SO I am all moved back in to my old room which I like 100 times better than levi's old room!

I am worn out though, I am going back to work just so I can get some rest. LOL I got a text from my boss yesterday but I didn't see it today, I wish I saw it yesterday I could have went in yesterday and got some rest from moving all this furniture. lol

I got rid of a couple of things went through my room and mom went through a couple closets so needless to say that it is time to go to good will and make a drop off. lol

We Got though the weekend Levi and I sang saturday and sunday, I think the next time that levi sings is canal days and he is also singing at illumination fest! So I am super excited!

I got the grass mowed today. There is a whole lot more to do today and the next couple days.

I spent most of the day yesterday decluttering and organizing my room and the garage (Mom helped with the garage.) Now it's time to do the same for the craft room. (Going to be some changes I will tell you more later on.) Then we went shopping lol I should have stayed home would have been cheaper but the dogs would be hungry today! I was proud of myself though everything I bought was something that was needed.

So I really should get something done. I had a good day yesterday it was very peaceful, I didnt accomplish anything but it was peaceful I drew a little bit, but none of the drawings turned out the way I wanted them to. I am just not a good still life artist. Abstract is more my style.

I will post something of worth soon maybe a devotional soon? I am wanting to do that more often.

I thought about making a theme for this blog but then I thought the fun I have with this blog is being random. Somedays I post about my favorite singer the next about nothing at all really and throw in a devotional or two. Sometimes being random is fun.

So today is a nice lazy day of sorts I got my weekend rest finally a week later but better late than never.

So I have been thinking that it's a good day to write a quick post.

Jake is setting beside me right now as I type at the table. (He likes to set in on of the kitchen chairs.)

Dogs have been taken to the spa...my weekend of resting never really happened, first I was busy doing stuff at home an I got on my chores that I was behind on and then I got called in to work sunday night. Okay so I've not been blogging, I'm sorry, I was totally not in the internet world.

It has been a hot week in Indiana, Why Im just about ready to move to Alaska until this heat wave lets up!

The dogs are nice and clean today, They got a bath and tomorrow is the spa...nail trim and their butt glans drained. After that probably just chillin', my knees have been bothering me iwth all this heat so I am seeing if resting them might help. At any rate its looking like it is going to be a good week this coming week and i am ready for it! Still going to be hot though. :(

What's your legacy?

We all leave behind a legacy to those around us whether you realize it or not. Think about it when ever you talk about a person that has passed away usually the conversation goes about like this, "Remember so and so?" "Oh yeah I remember her, she was quite the spit fire."

"Remember so and so?" "Yeah He was such a sweet heart of a guy, a big teddy bear."

My second question are you worshiping God so whole heartily that you are leaving behind a legacy of worship?

Matthew 26:6 "And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. But when His disciples saw it they were indignant saying, "Why this waste? "For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor." But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. For you have the poor with you always, but Me you have you do not have always. For in pouring this fragrant oil on My Body, she did it for My burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what the woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.'"

Jesus' own disciples were getting chastising her for this. She didn't care what everyone else thought, the only thing on her mind was worshiping God. She left behind a legacy of worship.

I encourage you to leave behind a legacy of worship, worship whole heartily don't worry about the opinions of others. Or how you look doing it, just worship God with are you are and all you got.

Room is finally cleaned, I had been avoiding it yesterday but today I popped in my new Dolly Parton cd and went to work. It wasn't too messy but with a small room just a few things out of place makes the whole entire room look messy.

Anyways I did think that I would post something a little thought provoking.

We all have our battle or burdens if you will, yes some are light while others take a whole family to hold up. But even though the battles get tire some there is always some thing to be grateful for to laugh about. My question to you is what are you grateful for what keeps a smile on your face?

A New Morning a New day!

Okay so its not really Morning but it is still in the am right?

Might be a long day today I am not sure dad kind gave this devious grin when I said I was off today

said he needed a piece of trim painted (I think there might be more he needs help with.) Finishing the mom and dads bedroom up (Well dad is lol) so the house had kinda an odd arangement right now. For example there is a bed in our dinning room. Lol Well I am going to get off here I am going to watch some Suze Orman on my pod cast. For a girl with no tv pod casts rock that and dvds lol. =oD

WE GOT WATER BACK YESTERDAY YEAH

Well our Water is back no more leaks so that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Water

At nine o' clock the last thing you want to hear is water trickling outside when you aren't running water. One of the pipes started to leak at nine o clock last night in the well house? I don't know the technical term for it but a pipe that goes to our water pump rusted out and started to leak.

So Dad couldn't go to work today because he had to fix the pipes and since there is no plcae in this town open past 9 o clock (Except the local Dollar General.) dad haad to wait until this morning to work on it.

Thankfully we had some emergency water and we were able to turn the water on just long enough to shower, and brush our teeth this morning. However I will be glad when it is fixed.

Well Work went well yesterday. Knees were killing me last night so I had to break down and take an Advil.

I work tonight hopefully it will go fast today and tomorrow then I have a day off.

I got my contacts in faster today than I did yesterday!

I watched the movie Amelia, It was a very good movie.

I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

It can get a little confusing cause it flashes forward and then back in some parts.

However the acting is well done in this movie.

Going to be watching.."My Sister's Keeper" Soon hopefully I will find some time.

Today was a busy day I painted trim and weeded the garden.

It was unbearably hot out today, but I did spend some time in the sun! I painted outside I had fun got a little messy but who cares you are outside! That's what I like about being outside don't have to worry about making messes you just enjoy the day and get as messy as you want throw water around splatter paint on the ground and no one will care!

I've had a pretty full day dad and levi got the floor finished and now I have to help dad with move furniture back in and help mom clean up from all the construction dust.

Well long work day tomorrow so I am going to go get some shut eye and I will update you tomorrow or sometime soon.

Well Long day today I got my Contacts! YEAH !!!! However the true test is tomorrow afternoon when I go to put them in with out being coached! LOL I took them out by myself just fine tonight.

Work went well but It seemed kinda long I love my job but I was glad to be home!

Now its back to work tomorrow morning!

I am probably going to be tried cause well you see I have this bad habit of not going to bed right away after I get home from work and well yeah you get the picture.

I think that its time for a good night sleep. thankfully no storms tonight like there was last night! Poor Gollum wined all night long last night I did finally get some sleep last night but maybe I can get a few more z's in tonight now that its not storming.

Okay So I got the Grass mowed (The yard picked up)

Bed Clothes (Including Comforter and pillows) Washed and dried!

Both dogs Washed

cleared out some furniture (Dad is getting ready to redo him and mom's bed room floors so for a short time we will have a bed in the dinning room! LOL (I didn't move the bed just the dinning room table I will let Levi (My bro) and dad handle that one.)

It's soon to be the middle of Febuary, This are pretty quite here in Monkville. The ice from the storm a couple weeks ago is SLOWLY starting to melt, and the hope of spring hangs in the air.

Levi and I have started doing some recording on the new CD I am excited about it and can't wait!

I think we are a few songs behind schedule, but hopefully we can catch up. God has started to open up new doors for us and I can't wait for the things God has in store for Monk Music!
